Business Development Specialist (gn)
This position is responsible to develop the fine chemical, intermediate and related sales for pharmaceutical, agricultural chemical and industrial market in the territory assigned. The job entails business planning, market research, direct sales and close cooperation (communication) with HQ, the Japanese parent company where the global strategy is coordinated.
Business Development with focus on Fine Chemicals and intermediates markets
Meet annual sales targets and achieve growth in line with long term business plan
Develop a close relationship with customers and stakeholders at all levels, including discovery, R&D, and purchasing functions
Develop a business strategy to profitably sell fine chemicals in the territory in line with global policies and achieve sustainable growth in line company expectations, with main focus on pharmaceutical markets
Develop and manage the annual sales budget, revised annual sales budget, monthly sales report and executive report by request
Prepare reports requested by management
Work within established expense and other budgets
Generate and promptly report information acquired from customers/markets, on competitors, new products, and other public information
Travel to customers with Marketing, business and other company members as required.
PhD in Chemistry or similar
Strong communication skills at all levels
Sound knowledge of ERP Systems (such as SAP)
Fluent English and German language
