High-Voltage Insulations Engineer (m/f/d)

Center of Competence for insulating materials 

Location: Dortmund region



Contribute to the build up of our client’s brad new High Voltage Center of Competence for insulating materials.

Your Tasks:

Driving our client’s technical portfolio in high voltage insulation materials for automotive applications, e.g. cables, wires or coatings
Development and implementation of the technology roadmap to support the Center of Competence
Build up a high voltage lab, incl. definition of test equipment to cover automotive needs
Experimental characterisation with respect to physical and chemical properties
Benchmarking of different materials by evaluation and testing
Improvement of polymer performance by compounding or adapting new formulations
Technical trend scouting for new market solutions
Cooperation with internal and external partners
Technical voice to the customer

Your Profile: 

University degree (MSc or PhD) in electrochemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering with profound chemical background or equivalent
Industrial experience
Experience in Laboratory work and High-Voltage testing is highly beneficial
Certification for High-Voltage Testing is a plus
Working knowledge and practical experience in polymer synthesis and polymer processing
Hands on mentality
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
Fluent English and German
